FAQ

What happens after the 14 days?

Tern Files stays a complete file manager: tabs, two panes, search, preview, folder sizes and more keep working. The launcher, rules, duplicates, batch rename, compare and the AI need Pro. Your rules are kept and run again as soon as you have a licence.

On how many PCs can I use it?

One licence is for you on up to 3 PCs, with all 1.x updates.

Microsoft Store or direct download?

Both are the same app. The Store version updates through the Store. The direct version can additionally become the default file manager and set up the index service for the fastest search.

Does the AI cost extra?

No. The model runs on your PC, so there are no running costs – for you or for us. It is an optional one-time download of about 3.4 GB (with a graphics card) or 4.9 GB (processor only).

Try it for 14 days.

Everything included, no account, no card. Afterwards Tern Files stays a complete file manager – Pro unlocks the rest once.
